The Reykjavik Metropolitan Police asks that drivers, or owners, of vehicles equipped with video recording devices, check and see if there is footage on their devices that shows a red Kia Rio and it´s whereabouts on January 14, 2017, from 07-11:30 am. It is important to note that we are only looking for footage pertaining to the above-mentioned timeframe. This is done in relation to the investigation of a missing person, Birna Brjánsdóttir, who has been missing since early morning of the 14th.
The search for footage includes areas away from the metropolitan area; the south shore, to south of Iceland near Selfoss and west to Borgarfjordur. Many vehicles are equipped with this sort of technology, especially commercial vehicles, e.g. buses and trucks. We ask that the owners check and see if there is any footage on their cameras and if so, send it to the Reykjavík Metropolitan Police.

We also ask that people bear in mind:
That they have already gone over the footage to see if a car, matching the description is seen.
That the information includes a time and date of the incident.

Going over videos is very time consuming and to use the police´s manpower fittingly, we ask that people assist in this manner.
