Foreldrar/forráðamenn eru beðnir að sækja börn sín í lok skóla eða frístundastarfs. Eru þeir hvattir til að fara ekki af stað sökum veðurs séu þeir ekki vel útbúnir, frekar þá að bíða af sér veðrið.
Börn eru óhult í skóla og frístundastarfi þar til þau verða sótt.
Hér er átt við börn yngri en 12 ára.

The weather conditions in the Reykjavik area have deteriorated and parents and/or guardians of children younger than 12 are asked to pick up their children at the end of the school day or after school programs. If parents or guardians are not equipped to pick up their children during the storm, we ask them to wait until the weather improves. The children will be kept safe at school until they are collected.
